    wireless access point

    i just got a wireless access point and i'm not sure what the directions are asking me to do. I have


    cable modem ---->router


    WAP--->router


    now it works while i'm right next to it but when i get a few feet away it drops..


    any ideas ?

    Umplug the anal stimulator, it causes interference

        you've got something interfering or your WAP blows, or maybe your interface card.


        i know when i had a wireless router it drove my cordless phones fucking nuts... since they all run on 2.4ghz.


        either that or take the WAP off the microwave.

          it's odd becuase it shows a green light yet i can not access anyhting from the browser. its like there is no connection

                what is the brand/model of your WAP?

                I have a linksys.. I bought a "wireless signal booster" to piggy back on top of it.. and it works like a charm

                  i just bought a belkin, but i may try that booter.. it's just odd that it shows a green light yet no connection
