Credit Card Processing

Hi Girls and Boys,

I have a client who needs their website to process credit card information (they have products for sale, a buyer selects one, pays for it...)

I can do the credit card validation, but how do I do the processing? The client would prefer the processing to be done on his server (i.e not by CCBill etc..)

Does anyone have any experience in this at all?

Net Billing can help you. I assume that you just need the gateway and you want to choose your own scrubing level.

Hi,

For you to process the cards and store card information, you now need to be registered with Visa and Masrtercard at an approximate cost of 12k per year. You also need to develop your own fraud scrubbing tools.

However, if your client wants to have the customer never leave their site, Netbilling can handle all of the processing and give you an API to securely pass the transactions to us without having to register as I mentioned above. they are a Canadian company but accept U.S. residents and proccess in both currencies. Setup is under $500.00 CAD.

They provide you with all the tools like an E-terminal so you can do the transactions yourself or via their secure server.
I currently use them and they are great as far as tools and service. Only thing I hate is support is only Mon-Fri

You can signup for an account at Authorize.net

Approxiamte costs are:

$150 setup
$30/month
2.39% of each transaction

YOU get to process the transaction and set scrubbing levels as well as do what you want with the whole process, show the signup/confirmation/rejection forms all on your site.

The only thing you need is a script that will gather the client's info and shoot it over to authorize.net to do the actual processing, however your customer will never see this, its all transparent.
