Well it was about a year ago i started getting calls from someone posing as a IRS agent demanding payment for unpaid taxes. I quickly realized that this was a fraudulent scam and had some fun playing with these A holes.
Now they are using pre recorded messages , stating "this is officer (*****) calling to inform you that they have discovered illegal submissions in the last tax return, again obviously a scam but this time i don't have the satisfaction of messing with them as its difficult to talk to a recording.
Anyway in case you get a similar call its fraud, as the IRS would contact you in the first instance by mail. I recorded a few of these calls and forwarded them to the FEDs and local IRS, doubtful they can do anything but its worth a shot.
