Just put your zip code in the little box

Bottled water or a reverse osmosis filter ...

    EWG's Tap Water Database

Since 2010, water utilities' testing has found pollutants in Americans' tap water, according to an EWG drinking water quality analysis of 30 million state water records.

Nearly all taps are lined with lead, the newer they are and the more expensive they are.. the more lead they are likely to have.

I know someone that is a analyst at the treatment plant in my hometown, and so I decided to share the link. We talked for a bit, and he said that in reality its actually worse than what this site is reporting.

About four years ago I was visiting someone up in the Long Beach, Cerritos area. I ignored the big water bottle sitting on the counter and opted for a glass from the sink faucet. As the water poured out, I smelled a heavy chlor odor, and took a taste. Nasty. I later learned that the local water district was "recycling" water back into the homes.
"The time men spend in trying to impress others they could spend in doing the things by which others would be impressed."

I only drink Pepsi & Monster so I got way more to worry about health wise than what's in my tap water.

Since 1992 I have drank well water, my last 3 homes have had their own water wells. Currently, my drinking and cooking water is pumped from the ground aquifer then carbon and reverse osmosis filtered.
My dog, dead now for some years, would not drink tap water because of the chlorine smell -- he preferred to drink from a puddle.

I just drilled a new well two years ago -- $4,800, that's cheap, the drillers hit the aquifer at 60 meters down here. In some areas you have to drill 120 meters down or more. It is not unheard of for water walls to cost $10K to $16K ... A wellhead lasts fifty years but need to be repaired and/or re-pointed in 10 to 20 years. The water pumps are called point pumps -- the pump is at the bottom of the wellhead -- the wellhead is a 5 inch PVC casing that is cemented in the bore. Only problem is that if the power is out -- the well stops pumping ...

If you're near to farmers fields, get your well water checked for nitrates (if you haven't already)
