Seconding this! He hooked me up right and my sites have been running great.

I believe he does automatic backups - real backups, not just some sales bs!

You can actually reach him via SKYPE at any time and his company's support team as well on demand.

vacares just resells ovh, and for a higher price, if he doesnt need managed, no point going with vacares as it will be cheaper to go straight to the source.

if its unmanaged why not just go with ovh directly, you will get the same hardware, but for cheaper.

sorry i edited the thread to show the usa url and forgot to change the canadian part.

control panel is nice too, when ordering ip addresses, they automatically get assigned to your server, etc.

resellers you would have to wait for them to respond, plus ovh resellers you dont get access to the ovh panel, with kvm over ip, reissue a new install, etc.

They bill in US .... I have a few vps there and it is converted to canadian on my credit card .

Like any other host, if you send me the details of your current hosting plan than I will do my best to compete for your business. Their 100TB plans are delivered over a 100 megabit port... FYI, you'd need about 400-450 megabit to deliver 100TB outbound based on typical usage patterns. They also only offer old Xeons and consumer desktop equipment. Those prices aren't special, either.

ips are also cheap with ovh, just a 1 time setup fee, i have a whole class c, which only cost me, $3 an ip, my preivous host wanted to charge mer hundreds per month for using only 32 ips

Frankly, could not stand them. When tried them they were always super complicated to me, and support is slow.

For EU I go for online.net for cheaper solutions and rapidswitch.com for better network. Recently tried worldstream.nl not bad for a price.

For USA I would go with https://www.reliableservers.com/ the are Choopa, Vultr and GameServers same brand from what I know

I've got a server with OVH with 64 gigs of ram, I've got some large databases which need it. Totally solid, my only issue is they don't seem to have a way to rebill automatically so I have to go and pay it each month. No power outages or downtime in over a year. I administer the server myself so I don't really use their support.
