Tech WordPress Guru Needed

Simple but complicated question. I have 900 blog posts in about 10 files. The files were done in Notepad on iPad. I bought WP-Import to import each post as drafts.

My problem is I need each post saved as a .txt file. I then zip them and use the app to import.

I need a free app to save each post as .txt as I save it. I looked in the App Store and didn't have much luck. That's one way to do this.

Otherwise, I need a Windows program that allows me to paste/save the files, then pull text for each post and save it as .txt. Then I can zip up the txt files and import the posts.

See, simple but complicated?!?! I could do this by hand but with 900 posts, I'll be doing this until 2019.

All help/suggestions appreciated.

I don't know of an app that can do that, but I would imagine you could find someone to do that for you. I have no idea how much it would cost. Like you say, it's not a hard job, but will take a little time.

You might try posting in the "hiring" section and see what kind of replies you get.

Hm, there isn't a separation but I could technically add a line --------------- between each post.

A plugin would be awesome. What's the price of such a plugin?

Okay, can you put that in English!? I don't remember how to 'read' each fie, what array is or what a csv is. All my HTML knowledge and coding knowledge is gone.

I thought of that. And, posting on Guru. But I have a feeling the price will be too much for me.

I'd do it by hand, as I started to do, but it's time-consuming and I can't always control my hands/fingers. I thought WP-Import would solve all issues .....

Adding a line "---------------" between each post would work perfectly.

Copy the line between each post so that they are all the same length and that will
make it even easier. Well, just make it be 5 dashes for simplicity. "-----"
(Assuming you don't have "-----" anywhere in the file already)


Maybe you don't need to do anything to the file; let me look at it before you do a lot
of work that may not be needed.

you need : WordPress XML & CSV Importer Plugin - WP All Import and excel to import it.
first import txt files to excel and after it from csv file to wordpress
you need only prepare a "template" to copy and paste. I do this many times. You don't do this by One click 900 but 9 times 100 each will be easy. I do by this metod even a 270k posts
