    I hate it when engineering students call themselves engineers...

    Like you don't see med students calling themselves doctors or arts students calling themselves unemployed

              I might disagree with you. I have a degree in electrical engineering but I have never called myself an engineer.

              However, medics are called "Doc" on a regular basis. Even more so when they are Navy medics serving with Marine Corps units.
