They've let the cert expire, OP.

send them an email to let them know, or wait to see if they renew it, I guess.

Either way I wouldn't do any logging in or anything until it's fixed if I were you.

Certificate expiring doesn't implicitly mean the site is no longer secure. Certificate signing just means they paid someone $8/year to sign their cert.
