Good point, but for the moment, everyone is nervous. Alot of Canadian companies I know do alot of business in USD and everyone is shitting, even transferring funds right at this moment.

Past 48 hours need to be disregarded.

Trump plans on lowering taxes and increasing debt, which should trigger interest rates in the USA to go up. As long as you don't have a mortgage or overdraft in the USA you will be fine.

The knock on effect of that is USD will climb.

Yup. Just came here to write the same thing. Also, this has been the norm of every election cycle when the Whitehouse changes hands. It happened with Obama too. The real test will be long term and once Trump actually takes office.
