been doing this since -96 and i always see a drop

July and August have always been my worse month over the past years and I blame

MYSELF

I am more outdoors, I go on vaccation, I don't push galleries or programs like any other month.

July and August are big lazy and content month for me.. Not being in front of the PC is my goal for those 2 month. I guess most people think like that

Fair enough -- and, of course, statistics say that not *everyone* will see any industry trend.

But it's interesting -- are other BDSM sites seeing it? Maybe the slowdown phenomenon varies by niche. Or, as steffie said, maybe it's because webmasters get a bit lazy in the summer. In that case, if the problem is that surfers are bored and not that they're not at their computer, maybe this is an opportunity to make some extra cash.

But hey, what's the point of a post about a supposed slowdown if not to solicit what other people are saying. And, like I said, it's pretty much a sure thing that someone *will* make that post on every slowdown thread, 'cause it's true.
