Anybody know the difference between physics & astrophysics?

I'm thinking about switching up my major, but in all my research, I can't seem to find an explanation of the difference between the two.

Astrophysics is the branch of astronomy that deals with the physics of stellar phenomena.

Regular physics is the branch of science which treats of the laws and properties of matter, and the forces acting upon it; especially, that department of natural science which treats of the causes (as gravitation, heat, light, magnetism, electricity, etc.) that modify the general properties of bodies; natural philosophy.

Astrophysics is the physics of stars (and so-forth). When I took a little astornomy, it seemed like it was the physics that astronomers do. Some people in the field do mostly astrophysics (astrophysicists) while some only use it a little when doing other astronomy work (astronomers).

Astrophysics is about as worthless as you can get and the market place reflects that. But you get lots of programming and stastistics so you can make a living.

My friend works for Nasa, he is an astrophysican, he lives in Germany right now, but he has 2 more houses (Florida, and somewhere near Arecibo - Puerto Rico)

He has quite fat wallet and he loves his work.
