I'm helping a company deploy it with heavy traffic here on a popular flower and gift delivery service. A few code changes have had to be made by the devs from time to time but it's pretty stable now.

Impressions so far are speed, stability and lower memory footprint.

However I would not recommend a migration yet - unless you have people on hand to deal with any bugs that arise.

read this for more on upgrading. PHP: Migrating from PHP 5.6.x to PHP 7.0.x - Manual

I would love to use HHVM but I'm using separate php-fpm pools for all my sites which HHVM doesn't do . I haven't tried out PHP7 yet but even when I do I probably won't use it on anything important yet.

Christ. I've been away from the game for far too long. I didn't even know there was a PHP7.

I just installed PHP7 on my laptop and I haven't noticed any appreciable performance gains so your mileage may vary.

Internet explorer, windows media player, and notepad all seem to be opening at about the same speed. I really don't see how the new version of php is any better or faster than the previous one.
