Content providers still using Paypal....

they're told that paypal will come after them if they keep using it... but they just keep right on thinking "oh, that'll never happen to me" right up until the court date

Anyone know if Paypal is releasing money from frozen accounts that break the User Agreement? I've known a few people to have them frozen but I don't know if the 180 day freeze or whatever it is is put in effect or if they keep the money or if they refund it or ...?

This is a general question not just directed to content providers, I'm just curious since paypalsucks.com only outlines what happens at the point of freezing :D

I got my account frozen because I used them after June 12. ( misunderstanding, I thought that I had till June 15 )

I, as instructed, removed everything conserning PayPal from my site, mailed them about it, and got the reply that my account was free again...BUT "lifted index finger" If I ever used my account for any adult business, they would terminate the account.

Ah, that isn't so bad then. I've heard some pretty nasty horror stories (And with the revision to their policies pre May 12th) they gave themselves some rights that are downright obscene if you ask me.

Shame too, their system was one of the best for processing that I've used.

Stopped using them at the right time too. I am now processing CC's on our site....should be finally approved by Visa in a week or so.

not fun at all.
