Where to get programmers/software developers?

Most programmers can be found under a rock, or near a Jolt cola stand. Unfortunately the strange species rarely comes out into the public, especially where the female persuasion is found.

Asking on the boards are your best bet, even try YNOT's tech board. Otherwise try your local college/university or the paper. Many programming firms are more expensive than going with an experienced individual.

Check out Planet Source Code. They have a daily mailing list which you can post projects too and get respones quickly. I've posted projects and had over 50 responses in a matter of hours.
