Problems With Ccbill

It seems like ccbill is not that honest for referring webmasters!
a- it drops a cookie in the computer to track signups , however if I drop a cookie and then another referring webmaster drops a cookie the second referring webmaster gets the credit. THAT SUCKS!
If I have a gallery listed and then another webmaster has a hosted gallery on the same siteand the surfer signs up after his session on the tgp the last gallery webmaster gets the credit, IT SHOULD BE THE FIRST, first come first serve!
WHAT STOPS A WEBMASTER FROM PUTTING HIS OWN CCBILL REFERRING URL SOMEWHERE ON THE SITE TO DROP THAT SECOND COOKIE TO STEAL CUSTOMERS FROM TRAFFIC SENT FROM PROMOTERS?????????
Also alot of people come back to sign up later, how come when I call ccbill they cant tell me for how long that webmaster has cookies set to stay in teh host computer for me to get credit for????

That's not an honesty issue. If a person signs up from a referring URL that isn't yours then of course that person should get the credit.

It means his gallery sold them on the site, not yours.

Mind you, personally I wouldn't use any site relying just on cookies these days. I use ccbill for my billing but for the very few affiliates I use I've setup simple tracking dynamically and by cookie. It's the only way to make sure someone gets credited for all signups. Guess what though? The sale still goes to the site that sends them

If it was first come, first served then everyone would be img srcing the ccbill entry URLs to get their cookies set on the surfer's computer first. Think about what that would do.

I dont think an img source can drop that cookie for signups cause then anyone can image source any program that someones referring, to get credit for traffic that the webmaster is paying for himself ,
it would be ridiculous people would be making millions

I did wonder. It didn't sound like you and slagging off your own processor would be daft. Besides which I can see no reason anyone who currently uses ccBill would do so. According to you, if I get your damn cookie on my computer but decide not to sign up "at that time" you still want to get credit for it. It's not first come / first serve; It's the most recent cookie that has prompted me to sign up.

You can sit here and bitch about how it's done until you are blue in the face. However, it's an imperfect world and there is no single "best" way of doing things.

He is an affiliate of EscortBiz that in the AWI thread, asked for webmasters to signup referring by site, rather than by a specific partner id.

EscortBiz has been an excellent client and strong supporter of both CCBill and Cavecreek and is a good businessman that runs a standup program. He has frequently gone out of his way to give advice and help many on this board. I speak to him regularly and just by simply comparing the posts of EscortBiz and Moremalepower, it is obvious to me that they are not the same person, benefit of the doubt aside.

Raider Mort, your investigative skills are well-meaning, but I think that in this instance, it does not make sense that Escort would impersonate as Moremalepower.
