Really dont like it.
It is already installed on the new computers. It is ugly, and takes a while to get used to.

I think you may need to buy a new printer.

There are many good functions , and alot of useless stuff, its pretty stable though.. but i'll most likely wait another year or so after the release to actaully get it, thats when most bugs will probably get fixed, and everything will be supported

I tried it and my opinion is that it sux!
GTA 2 didnt work.
Motor Racer 2 didnt work.

Everything looks nice

And there are ZERO crashs.

Oh ya and my Bell Sympatico High Speed Internet got fucked up because of XP.

once you get use to it...alot of drivers, etc. work, you just need to do a "windows update"

Hmm, installations on empty HDDs usually work beter than upgraded systems.. Take your breath, backup everything, format and install win2k..
Another thing, win98 = FAT32 fs, win2k = NTFS (but it can also work @ fat32)..

xp makes your hd about 3x faster then win2k does , almost 5x faster then win98
under ntfs of course..
just format the drive, in ntfs format, you will like it much better then fat32...

Once you go to NTFS you can't turn back! Ever.

If you don't play games and are only into applications go for XP. Its worth it. My computer started up in like 15 seconds compared to the around 50 start up time now... Everything was faster but I like the classic games once in a while so I didn't stick with Xp.

in my opinion being MCSE and RHCE certified i say FUCK XP.. i dont have enough patients to go into all the reasons why but ill try.
1)the licensing isues.
2) software, hardware, and most anything else has to be made in the last couple of years or its a 90% chance of it not working..
3)it has more spyware than any other windows os and has more controling features than AOL does.. lol

I'll be running to the store to get a copy of XP the day that it comes out. Heck, with the amount of time that I spend on my computer, any change in daily layout would be a welcome to me, I'm pretty bored with the current Win 98/ME layout.

I'm already getting ready to reinstal my Windows tomarrow, so I'll be good to go on Thursday when it finally hits.

No... take the advice... backup your stuff... format the fuck out of it... and do a clean install. It'll pay off... trust me. (and use NTFS versus FAT32)

I just got my new puter last week. Yes it has the XP. So far I havent had any problems at all. Actually the new overall look is pretty cool (If you ask me), it's kinda refreshing and easy to look at. Also with the xp I was able to get 512 ram, so that was also cool...

We've have a couple of XP boxes, it blows. PC Anywhere doesn't work, AOL doesn't work, let alone the other other well known BS with it.

Lens, my neighbor has WinXP and AOL6.0 works perfectly on it. I grabbed the version from their website, the one for Win2K and it's rock solid.

Instead of PC anywhere, may I suggest looking into the Remote Desktop feature, it allows you to take control of any other WinXP boxen and control it as if you where sitting in front of it.
