When I was a kid I used to play with all kinds of things electronics. You name it, I had batteries, motors, electro magnets, wind-up generators, lights, solar cells, meters... including a few of those 100-in-1 electronic kits. My dad got me started in that stuff when I was 5 or something like that. It was a lot of fun. I think giving a kid a creative toy or a toy that teaches is probably one of the nest things any parent can do for their kid.

I never burned the house down or got into any trouble, except once. I took the coil off of our TV set's picture tube. I didn't disconnect it, just removed it from the picture tube. I replaced it with another coil and connected the 2 coils to the left and right channels of their home stereo. The result was a kind of dancing oscilloscope with music. ah, good times.

I don't understand people who can just "forget" this knowledge.

I watched every episode of Cosmos and loved it. Entertaining and totally interesting. Something about the way they present the ideas, facts and history just kept glued to it.

I really don't understand why all the Word's religions just haven't died yet, because this small an simple formula explains it all. It explains the World.

I have a guess why. People don't like to think about dying, and never did. They don't want to think that there is an actual end, so they look for something infinite, forever. So way back when, the idea of an afterlife where you lived forever was born from various peoples around the world, and that seed grew into the various religious we have today. Just a guess of course but it works for me, for now.

I think everyone, even the countries that you are implying are below the educational standards that you grew up with are aware and understand basic physics. However as a father i think this is a great tool for me to use to do something educational with my son.

However the things I mentioned in my previous post were leaned in the school. When I was an university student, we were learning much more serious things like stereometry, matrix math, mathematical analysis, divergence theorem, analysis of beams, computer programming in Fortran and Pascal etc...

And course I didn't want to offense the OP or anybody else. I just recalled the tricks we did outside of school when we were kids (sell-made rockets, gunpowder an so on) - those were really awesome and also very dangerous sometimes...

High level math courses there so i am going to guess you have a degree in Mathematics.

I'm not sure about that. I was learning high-level mathematics during only two first years in the university (the same applies to physics BTW). So I believe I have no degree at all according to the Western classification. Am I technician and the mathematics was just a related science.
