I will do that. We used to be faithful submitters to eveknows then the submissions page disappeared then it was a tube. We contacted you several times with no response.
Your new site is sort of a search engine. Your pages showing up in SERPS do not always go to galleries, usually just your main page...and when you click on a link of one of the scraped galleries, depending on where you click, you either go to the gallery or go to one of your sponsors.
I wish you were a true search engine.
We would be really supportive.
Did you see a drop down or something over the pics? If not maybe he decided not to use them. I don't mind the SE thing as long as he is sending surfers to links he uses.
Which pages are redirecting to the main page? If that's happening, it's a bug. JustPicsPlease.com is supposed to operate just like EveKnows.com, but without user submissions yet (we'll bring them back once our queue of sites to crawl drops to a manageable number, right now it's over 5 million).
The dropdown over the pics is the full-length title of the gallery that we link to (we pull that from the gallery's HTML title tag). We're not republishing anything that Google doesn't also use in its search results.
Also, I'm sorry if no one responded via e-mail. We do get a lot of junk mail each day, and sometimes things slip through. We started a support forum at http://justpicsplease.uservoice.com that's proved much more reliable than e-mail; if you have any questions about how we link to you (or just want us to stop and remove any existing galleries), please contact us there.
Glad to see so much interest in submitting galleries! Right now we don't allow user submissions, but our web crawler is constantly indexing new pages. The best way to ensure that we find your galleries is to have existing web sites link to them. You can read more about best practices for getting indexed at https://justpicsplease.com/caroline.php.

Despite never having submitted to them, we've been noticing a steady supply of traffic coming back to us from old submitted galleries. Anytime we've looked and checked them out, there's never been a redirect, a drop down, or anything, it's always just gone to the gallery.

We've seen the same thing, an increasing amount of traffic coming back to the old galleries we submitted to other TGPs, some going back several years.

That makes sense; we seeded our new web crawler with the existing EveKnows.com database (which goes back to 2005-ish), so if any of those old galleries are still online, they should be showing up in the justpicsplease.com results.

Drop me a note if you can. I'd welcome a dialogue on us doing something more with you.
Email: zapusto [at] outlook [dot] com or leave your Skype and I'll hit you up.
I've heard too many things on the negative side. And since they do not respond to DMCA...I'll pass.
Wow I don't even think I was awoke when I wrote that lol, it made little sense. Anyhow. I had DreamHost once, never ever looking back. They owe me money too.
But if people are happy with Dreamhost, good for them. As I tried to write, I just hope their dream hosting does not turn into a nightmare as it has for so many.

Its great if you do not mind justpics showing up just below you in all your domain serps.
My domain serps tend to be keyword serps.
Is that the trade-off for traffic you guys expect? Not arguing, just asking.
Well justpics too will show ur pages and thats a plus to market your brand as well. I mean I wouldn't mind when others help brand my site too even if the site had no traffic, maybe in the future it would be flooded with people, who knows.

I can't speak for anyone else, but our brand domains are pretty strong on their own merit given their age and branding for them we've done over the years, not to mention the years of consistent original updates. I'm not at all concerned over someone who can send me traffic who, at the same time, can bump some of those "domain info" spammy sites that are popping up all over the place. You know the ones... they take every domain name and display domain info, nameservers, registrar, alexa ranking, IP geo location, etc. Those sites offer absolutely nothing in return. If I can get some traffic, AND it bumps a few of those spammy domain info sites down, I won't lose any sleep. To me, it's the spammy domain info sites that justpicsplease is actually competing with for placement beneath our branded domains in the serps. The brand itself is strong enough to not be unseated by justpicsplease.
There are a lot of good frameworks out there you could build off of (Scrapy and Nutch both come to mind), but it's not too hard to get a basic crawler up and running from scratch.
I would be interested in getting some of my galleries listed, hit me up if you can.
We're working through one hell of a backlog right now, but if your galleries match the criteria listed at https://justpicsplease.com/caroline.php, we should eventually find you. We're not supporting webmaster submissions until we get the backlog under control, which should be sometime early next year. Maybe sooner if we can add a few more servers to the farm... this project has given me a whole new appreciation for Google.
Also, if you'd like to send me the URLs for a couple of sample galleries, I can test the crawler on them to confirm they'll get indexed when it runs across them.

Spent 3 hour today looking at open source codes. ;)
You gave me some great ideas.
Great looking site Found a ton of my galleries there, thanks
Glad you like it! Our business model relies on webmasters allowing us to crawl their galleries, so we hope to send you quality traffic to keep you happy

If you're interested in building a crawler of your own, check out the paper "Crawling the web" by Gautam Pant, Padmini Srinivasan, and Filippo Menczer. It's a great read that describes common web crawler architectures: http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc...10.1.1.14.1830
