Kaktusan was always good to me, but BS is BS as he did some custom work for me in 12/12 or 01/13 on Gallery Scraper.

In my book he is a great guy too, and I smelled BS here, which surprised and disappointed me. We have hundreds of sites and thousands of trades under Links Organizer and changing this script to a substitute is not an option.. Maybe its just a few minutes of work, and I'd gladly pay for his time, and he can suspect that others are suffering from the same...

I sent them a single file to test and they returned it completely unencoded. To do the entire script will cost around $100 or so from what i understand (I never did it).

Send me one of the php encoded files and a copy of the ioncube files(s) you are using and I can have a look. I bought a 10xmedia mp3 search engine script from about the same period that became unsuported and I managed to decode it. I'm not promising it will work though because the decoding software only supports older ioncube versions and even after I had decoded my script I still had a lot of work to do to get the script working. gfy at freeindiegames.org

you can setup that script on $5/month DigitalOcean VPS with custom (old version of PHP that is required to run the script...)

Ok thanks, will take a look when I get home in a week's time. Still need a cracked version of the script though, as I just tested with the free version.

I emailed Kaktusan again..
For me, replacing the script w something else is not an option and never will be.

I'd like to gather the involved webmasters, it can be that we can resolve this issue w/o Kaktusan as well, worst case scenario..

I think if the script can get unencoded for $100 and someone can make it work for $50-$100 than its a reasonable amount which can be easily paid by 3-8 webmasters..

Anyway, the point is, that we need to look for a solution together.

"I was going to ask you didn't you had any success getting in touch with the support team using the form at the website, but after going quickly through the GFY thread I see the new owners seem to have abandoned the business since quite some time as I read that many people didn't get any reply. Thats unfortunate.. They were great guys from the contacts I had with them in the past, but probably something didn't work out for them or simply they have more priority stuff to deal with.. The business was slowly dying as it was almost anything in adult and I am glad I decided to sell it before it is completely dead so I can move out and look for new ventures in mainstream..

Right.. I figured you knew that... it sort of works, but there are issues..

i.e. the page rank checker does not work, and it's a bit buggy... and the main issue still remains as far as what happens tomorrow or the day after.

Honestly, that's the sort of thing I'd prefer to have removed entirely, or completely disabled, more especially since PR has not been updated, nor will be updated publicly, going forward. Thus the reason why it will be nice to have the unencoded version as you can make modifications as needed to tailor to your own needs.

As I explained to Matyko on ICQ earlier, I'll be likely having both the 5.3 and 5.4 versions unencoded at decry.pt -- then it's easy enough to hire someone to modify them to my specific needs.
