I was just thinking about him the other day. He was a real colossus of popular culture in the twentieth century, an outstanding personality. This is very sad news.

Sad that there are people don't know who these guys are.

Hell my 17 year old niece is familiar with Gregory Peck if not for anything else but playing Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mockingbird.

Damn fine actor.

sigh. he was such a classy guy. i loved watching him with his little smile on sunday mornings. when all the other talking heads were blabbering, old brinkley would just giggle to himself.
