How crazy is that? I was watching Katie Couric the other day and they were taking about people getting these printers and making working guns with it.








Belgian fashion student (and Ph.D. candidate in physics) Katrien Herdewyn is in her third year of school at the Academy of Fine Arts Sint-Niklaas (SASK). One of her assignments this year was to design a line of shoes using ?now technology.? For Herdewyn 3D printing was the natural choice.

I'm not really that excited about 3D printers, many say they are comparable to scanners, very few will need and use them.

On the other hand, if I can print a customizable blow-up doll in less than a minute, I'm totally buying one

3D Printers are going to change the world. You can print guns, parts, anything. Very soon you will be able to print food (they want to test the idea on the ISS). You can already print body parts for use in medical surgery (Some poor kid who couldn't breath has a 3D-printed part in his throat). Maybe one day soon, 3D printed organs.
