Obamacare Question?

I have to signup by midnight or I'm going to be fined for not applying. I'm really confused by the whole thing. I have to go through the California web site and the cheapest plan is hundreds of dollars a month!!! I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars a month and I already have insurance. What exactly do I do? This whole process is so confusing!!! Also what are the fines for one person if I can't figure this out by midnight?

Also I thought this was socialized medicine where everyone was covered and our taxes are paying for the insurance? Why am I being charged huge fees for an insurance plan? Looks like the insurance companies are the winners here and us healthy citizens get fucked with a major insurance bill!
