For years when visiting GFY, I would scroll down the "thread titles" column to see if anything jumped out at me as being of interest. These days, with the many worthless trolls & haters that frequent this board, I find myself scrolling down the "thread starter" column and only reading threads by people that I know, respect or whose insight that I have great appreciation for. Anybody else doing this?

I've been doing it pretty much for the past 18-24 months. I do not even read 90-95% of the threads anymore.

Nope, almost never care who starts a thread. It's a matter of the title / subject being interesting. I don't care. When I wanted to see some news about the super-typhoon I just typed super typhoon and clicked whatever links showed up. I think cnn was first so I read about it there not caring who published it.

That's different than avoiding certain things. For example when nikki99 posts pic threads, well I'm not into transsexuals so I generally don't click them.
