I don?t believe this, ok I am first to admit that for the past 3 months I had no life. My team and I were working round the clock to improve our sites and create new ones.

I live in NYC in the Soho area on Prince St.

Sad but true but tonight was the first time I walked into a bar in ages.
Ordered my extra dry Ketal 1 martini and waited patiently for the over tipped bartender to bring my ashtray.

He looked busy; I did not want to bother him at all. So I decided to use an empty cup from Starbucks.

With no warning about 9 people yelled at me at the same time.
My initial reaction was that this is a group of Starbucks freaks and I have violated the unwritten law Starbucks.

The bartender told me I have to put it out or they will ask me to leave.
The first thing that came to mind is lawsuit. Hey our African American brothers can sue for being black, why can?t I sue for being white.

Turns out I can?t sue white people for discriminating against other white people for being white. Not in this case at least.

I started up with the bartender and called him a ?Cheese Danish? because he wore a pink shirt and wouldn?t let me smoke.

They calmed me down and explained to me that we now have a new mayor with new laws. The bartender looked at me funny because this was a surprise to me. Asked me what I do for a living, after I said adult webmaster he understood my pain and lack of life when I work, and bought me a drink.


It turns out our new lovely mayor of NY Bloomburg banned smoking in restaurants and bars.
Can you believe this shit?

I am pissed, very pissed. We go to bars to drink and relax and take a load off. Kick back and enjoy a smoke. He took away our rights. He took away our freedom.

I miss the old mayor, where is Rudy when you need him.

Bloomburg is a poopoo head. I spoke my mind I am pissed off guys very pissed off.

I am moving to Canada, at least they could smoke and don?t have to pay $750.00 for VISA

Out of luck dude..We have had the no smoking bylaw here for over a year.They will probably make a smoking area for smokers.Yup its discrimination

it's been goin on for a while here in all commerce, shopping mall, a lot of restaurants etc.....but in bars...no way I won't smoke in a bar !...and most of the restaurant have a separate section for smokers....

Fucking tobacco nazis managed to get the same law passed
for the entire state of Florida. No smoking in any workplace.
Since Bars and Restaurants are also workplaces...we smokers
are fucked.

I think it should be left up to the bar owner but I really can't feel too bad for smokers. Most of us don't smoke and we're sick of that shit floating around in the air everywhere we go.
