Holy hell! last I knew he was just an ISP tech... how the hell did he rack up such a bill? I assume with BF he was buying alternate hosting for his mailings... what else?

He actually owes a combined dozen guys over $100k last I knew.
Unless he's been slowly paying them off over the past two years in hiding. I didn't know about sandman, so he might owe even more than that. But I know for a fact of at least 10-12 dudes for roughly $100k plus.

Agreed.
We already do.

He's not a host, I believe he was freelancing. As for sandman, it sounds like he was busy fucking a friend.
It's not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things.
It depends on which of the stories/excuses he would tell you that you prefer to believe.

Assuming there was an ounce of truth to any of his stories at he time he scammed a dozen people I know of... my guess is that he doesn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. With any luck, he's turned his life around after a couple of years of hiding and is paying off the debts.

As far as I knew, he was just an employee. A tech of sorts.
I remember hearing stories at the Forum about him with other hosting companies about how he was using their services for his ... questionable methods.Comment

Joel used to work for Chris (Norman) Jester of Spitfinity/Suavemente/Critical.
He also did a lot of freelancing apparently for others. Or was at least trying too.
Regardless, he bit offer more than he could chew apparently between business dealings and personal loans.
