I've had luck with chitika... it's a little hit or miss, on some sites/traffic sources they do great, others not so much... but still great adsense alternative to try out...

Take a look around at most of the sites and look what they are using (as far as text-based ad networks go) to monetize. Do you see anything other than adsense?
