Smutnode down... AGAIN

Is anyone else's Smutnode site(s) down (again)? Mine have been for HOuRS and I'm getting zero response from Ward... And getting really, really annoyed...

It's inevitable. Unless if the service is run by Google you can't expect it to be up. And even Google sometimes kills off their services.

Mine are up, but take a really long time to come up, I have one tube doing 3k a day now want that to stay working. I have been trying Ward for other reasons on icq for a week+ maybe more havent heard back from him hope he is ok.

As for freehosts, this is not a freehost really it is just a tool that is hosted, and I doubt anyone makes any real money there. It is just a self hosted traffic pump/seo helper. I doubt anyone is relying on it for hosting lol.

It's a free host. You're parking your site on his service and using it free of charge on your end. But it costs him. This stuff doesn't just magically get paid for.

Never said it got magically paid for, and technically it is a free host, but not in the typical sense, since you aren't uploading anything etc, he has a script/tool he provides to generate ad revenue and traffic for him and you. Anyway, I just hope he is ok, and I am not too worried if it goes down, I bought a few domains for 99cents to put on there since I like him and his system, and so far one of a few is doing nicely, so hope not to lose that, otherwise, only hope it does well for Ward.

Smutnode is not a free host. You pay for it with 10% of your traffic.

Everything on the internet is hosted now. Facebook, Twitter, Google, Youtube... Bla-blee-bla-bluuuuu.... It is ALL hosted now. You do not even need a server unless you want to host landing pages.

He did fix the first click problem a bit ago, I told him it was a bad idea, not good for surfers or us in google. Not sure if he swtiched it back, on mine it's fine

And yes everything that makes money now is hosted, tumblr, tubes, twitter etc you only need landing pages and not all the time even then, sometimes just a redirect.

We have problems due our host we are using. The datacenter has some major issues! I'm working hard to work together with the hosting company to fix it all!

I'm did certainly not disappeared$. Things will run smooth soon!

I'm just hella frustrated 'cause every time my Smutnode sites start to grow traffic, the system crashes. I hate to crush every site with a move, but if Smutnode can't handle growth than what good is it?!

I suspect that the problems are ongoing because you are trying to save a few dollars on your hosting plan. But please consider that you are losing a tremendous amount of traffic, new customers, new sites from old customers and $$$$ because the system is overloaded.

I certainly don't want to save on server bills. For the past few days our host had some major issues with a Ddos attack (they resolved this now). In meantime I took advantage of that downtime to do some optimisations.

=> Added two more HTTP Servers
=> Moved DNS from my hosting to cloudflare (should hopefully speed up DNS lookup).
=> More caching in our search servers.

Normally you should see a decent speed increase!
