Wordpress theme issue

I have a wordpress theme that is breaking my gallery functions including jetpack tiled galleries and nextgen. When I change to twenty twelve they all work fine again. Any thoughts or ideas on a way to fix without scrapping the theme?

uninstall wordpress then reinstall it

how up to date is your theme?

sounds like it's missing some functions.

Does your theme promote itself as a magazine theme? A gallery theme? The functions.php file might have code that overrides gallery functions.

It not a new theme, just one I found. Which might it be missing and how do I get them back.

Its a straight up blog theme..



I am also getting a java needs to be installed error that I think might be related also.

your theme might be removing the gallery shortcode and putting its own in.

Why not just use a different theme? What's so special about that one?

That old ass theme isn't using shortcodes. Most likely an easy fix.

First try disabling the plugins (Besides the one's for the galleries of course) and see if that might be the problem before messing with the theme files.

Already did that troubleshooting. Thats why I think its the theme issue.

The girl I have it set up for likes it. I changed out some of the graphic to make it not so kiddy and adult.
