Damnit! I need computer help!

Since 2 days my puter is slow as hell...every page takes ages to build up and scrolling down almost makes my computer crash.

I just found out through the task manager that if i open a webpage my cpu usage jumps up to 50% and if i scroll through the page (this board for instance) the usage goes to 100%, using all my cpu to load a friggin webpage.

Its almost impossible to surf the net like this.

anybody know whats going on here?

reinstall internet explorer

or start>run>msconfig and see what else is being loaded on startup

download a GOOD virus scanner and do a full scan...

Nothing in the msconfig thats not normal.

No spyware.

I hardly doubt theres a virus. I check for that every day.

clear all of your disk cache and delete your broswer cookies.. also make sure all of the temp internet files are deleted too. Might want to try going to ms.com and do an auto update on IE and make sure everything is up to the current version

Download and run REGCLEAN on a regular basis.
It makes a "fix it" file if it screws something up, so you will never lose data
