Help reverse engineering this site's automation process. How do they do it?

    Hi there,
I've been trying to understand how this website works:
please replace hxxp with http, I don't have 30 posts yet...
    hxxp://amateur.reallyhotchicks.net/?p=2843

Every 10 minutes they post a new "apparently real amateur" picture, which gets automatically posted on tumblr and linked back to the site itself with a gallery of plugrush links.

The photos posted are not linked to any paysite, which means they are not sponsors but I cannot believe they bought thousands of photos, so they must be scraping them from somewhere.

If they are scraping these photos:

    1) Is it legal?

    2) What software are they likely to be using in order to automatically find and post these pictures and run this website?

    Thanks!

So are you saying that they subscribed to tumblr RSS feeds from other people's content and automatically import it on their site and on tumblr as well?

      so basically:

Tumblr -> their site -> tumblr again?

coding dude, its done with php and the tumblr api, requires some decent skills to handle the tumblr api and the wordpress api . i do the same :posting to wordpress , automaticly posting to tumblr and relinking the tumblr post to wordpress. no big deal but took me a couple of days to code

i can provide this on indivudal base but it requires you to have a vps
and it cost 200$ incl setting up tumblr api key
(can be used then for multiple blogs, tumblrs)

            This is not the problem.
I can post on wordpress and automatically get my post on tumblr and linked back to my site. That's not the problem.

            My question is:
where does that guy's content come from?

            Did he buy it?

I don't think so, I think it's scraped from the internet.
I'm trying to figure out HOW and WHERE they get their content from. They post a new pic every 5 minutes and they have thousands of pics. Where do they come from?

There's plenty of places to get that content from.. Usenet, other sites, etc..

And just automate the posting, as explained above..
Not rocket science for an average coder

how do you automate the process?
Do you manually create thousands of post drafts and schedule them every 5 minutes?

                  1)they are using wordpress.,
                  2) pics in the post are hosted on tumblr
3)thumbs are hosted on their site.
4)first 3 rows are plugrush ads
                  5)next 10 items/thumbs are their posts.

they can be getting content from anywhere like rss feeds .
my guess he is using cyber seo plugin from gfy member. http://www.cyberseo.net/

and his site has 3 mil alexa, hes not makng much money...

That's a way, or you can just scrape other websites.

                            Hi thanks a lot!
How do you choose "custom tags" on ifttt recipes? So that if I repost stuff on tumblr it already contains the tags I want?

                            Thanks
