Lost password to management interface. PHP help!

My site's management script doesn't let me in anymore and I am unable to reset the password. I tried modifying it straight into the DB but to no avail.
PHP + MySQL. Any programmers around that could help?

depending your script password is probably sha1 or md5 encrypted
within the phpscript
(you can find that out when your able to read the sourcecode)

so choose a new password , put it thru a md5 or sh1 encrypter (try both)
(google it)
put it in thy mysql field for password and try to login with the non encrypted pass, helped me a couple of times

Totally unrelated, I am a blind man with many valuables in my house but I seem to have mislaid my keys. Could somebody that I have never met before come and gain access for me?
