    Guitar experts step inside

I got on offer for a guitar which is gibson flying v 1973 in mint condition, dude which want to sell it claim how it worth 5000$ ,and showed me ebay examples ,but i am not really convinced as just because someone asking 5000$ or 7000$ for it doesn't mean how it really worth that. Not to the mention, there are guitars from 1990 which also are in that price range, and then guitars from 1980 for 1000$ only.Any opinion ?

Any more details? P90's, pictures. A *V* from that era could well be worth that.

If it's in mint condition, it's probably worth close to $5k if not a bit more.

They're asking $6100 and I would bet that Guitar Center knows the worth

It's my experience that GC doesn't negotiate on used guitars, so that's probably a good number on that V. I have bought 4 from them and new ones they do deal..
