    LCD Monitors

I'm in the market for an LCD monitor.

Do you guys know of any good deals out there?

I would preferably like to get a 19", but may go for a 17".

    Thanks!

I'd go with a Samsung too, but they are costly. If you want a good deal check out:

Also, the Dell LCD monitors are nice as well.

Samsung, most definitely. Watch out for dead pixels though, they don't give refunds on non-white ones.

          Go here.

          http://www.gotapex.com/deals.php

They list geat deals on LCD's all the time. I got my 20.3 Dell LCD for around $830. Be patient, do some research and buy when you get the chance.

It's worth the extra couple hundred.

Rocking a samsung 191t now, couldn't be happier. 19" of pure LCD goodness.

I heard that an LCD flat screen, with a resolution of 1280x1024 (most of the ones I'm looking at), will distort the screen if I set it to 1024x768. I prefer to view webpages at that resolution for design purposes. It's the most popularily used resolution.

Maybe I should just go for a good CRT monitor..

It's been a while since I used one, but based on what I remember I don't think they'd work well for design purposes. I know that I tried it for about a month doing document analysis when I worked for a law firm, and it about drove me nuts.
