    Payoneer question

Since their support need a week to respond, I will ask for experience here: I've just activated my payoneer card and I am getting this message:

"Do not use it unless funds are loaded. Some ATM's will "eat" your card, if you use it without any funds available."

Anyone had such experience ? (withdrawing more money then available for example)

maybe it does that when you really have nothing on it (as in $0) but why would anyone try an atm when you know you have nothing on it.

As for when you try to get more than what's on the card, the atm just says it isnt possible. Sometimes i have that because i have to calculate the currency conversion $ to ?, but with fees it can happen you're a few dollars over. Try again but ?10 less and it works. Your card won't get eaten, dont worry.

thank you. I was afraid about scenario where I go over limit precisely because of conversion rates.

You might get charged for each failed transaction though.

So why trying to withdraw when you dont have funds? Better not, payoneer just giving you the right usage of your atm card

              Hi,

For immediate support we do offer telephone and live chat, however e-mails do take several days to review.

To address your question, some ATMs will seize a card for security reasons if it is declined. Generally it happens after multiple failed attempts (you would actually enter the card into the ATM, and then the ATM will keep it for fraud prevention).

It's very rare to happen with 1 failed attempt, however we like to be on the safe side. As the card is prepaid you can't use to purchase unless there are sufficient funds available on the card.

When you attempt to use the card at the ATM and the transaction fails, Payoneer is actually charged for that (which is why we have a declined ATM charge).

What are working hours for Live Chat, because I never managed to get someone that way.

Generally it's Monday-Friday from 9AM-5PM EST. It's available now for example, but only for a few more minutes (as it's nearing 5PM).

In some cases if the volume if incoming chats is extremely high we may close it until it is reduced, but for the most part it is kept open.
