I fucking hate it when someone gets murdered, and all the relatives ask "one question...why??" When the answer is usually perfectly fucking obvious.

Dunno if it happens in the US, but it happens a lot in the UK. Bugs me.

Administering craigslist is a constant battle against the onslaught of lowest common denominator spammers & scammers, I do not envy those guys their job! Keeping as much media as possible in-house - in this case images - gives them a little more control, helps them run a tighter ship to prevent whatever loopholes are out there.

For example, the past couple years in desireable locations (say, Hawaii) scammers were auto-posting ads for fake rental houses at cheap prices. The image galleries for those houses were often just hotlinked directly from local realtors' sites advertising properties for sale at completely different locations.

So yeah, a move like this is no surprise...
