    phpBB Spam Problems....

    A friend of mine is having spam problems on a mainstream phpBB forum - He gets about 300 registrations a day and has to sift through them all - He uses a Captcha but they are getting around that of course.....

    Anyone here now about spam on phpBB forums that can help?

    Edit: He is manually approving...

    Have him implement a shared community blacklist or two. It works well.

              Yeah, that is most effective. On my last phpbb I did 4 or 5 rotating questions and voila, no more spam.
