I am using win8 pro now at home on 2 main systems.

I really like it.... its smooth and works well.

If you have win7--- you don't need Win8

But if you are buying a new system and get Win8---- don't fret... Its awesome and really nice.

There are a lot of small features, but mostly the media system is nice.... but I am not using it much.

I am using it on a Desktop and Laptop and basically use them both in old Windows mode... standard desktop with Start button.

Download the free "classic shell" (google)
And get your start button---you need that.

Otherwise its good... don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I put it on my computer the other day and spent a day with it. Once you realize the Start screen is just a giant Start menu, and you still have a desktop there isn't much difference between it and Windows 7.
