        It doesn't matter unless you are master level, you are unlikely to beat the highest level of any normal software.

          interface, teaching tools, etc matter though... I doubt that by "best" fris meant hardest to beat...

              OS/X comes with a built in chess program that is pretty good. I'm a good player and sometimes even play against 2 people at a time (though poorly) and its impossible to beat when set on its higher seconds-per-move settings.
