    I have a Wordpress question

My first post is a static post.
    I have comments enabled.
I don't want the comment box underneath the first static post.

Underneath all other future posts below that static post, i do want.

    Can i fix this somehow?

There should be a disable comments in the post edit page.

Go to Screen Options at the top of the edit page - Click and tick 'Discussion' - You now have the option to allow comments at the bottom of the edit page.

Enable comments. Then go to the list of posts and click 'quick edit' for the post in question and untick the box for allowing comments. Confirm and done.

Actually it's already unchecked by default but it still shows the make a comment option underneath that post.

Yeah - A lot of themes enable it by default.

That it does not match up with the screen options is a bit of a bug and/or bad theme making...

If it is not going to work as a standard theme with your version of WP you need to change it.

You might find a fix for this but its not a good way to go on.
