    Help needed

Okay, i very rarely do this but i thought i'd give it a try here.
I came across this page today from another forum http://www.justgiving.com/Lawrence-Peckham this bloke is trying to rase money for a breast cancer charity but according to the post on the other forum, he has recieved very little in the way of donations so his friends are trying to cheer him up by getting his target met before he wakes up. I have no connection to this man at all but i though it was rather sad that so few had given to his cause. I though some people here might be able to either donate or spread the word a bit.

    cheers.

yeah, it's the worst thing that could possibly happen, right? Hope your day improves after the tragedy of having to read this thread, I'll be thinking of you and sending good thoughts in the hope you can recover in time to actually get some sleep tonight and not be awake all night in turmoil of how to rid the world of breast cancer donation requests

No shit. The last thing these breast cancer charities want is a cure, it would put them out of business. Breast cancer awareness is ridiculous. Even the CDC said precautionary mammograms for women with no risk factors is basically useless.

They only give a few cents on the dollar to research anyway. Most of the money donated goes into advertising, to bring in more money.

        http://www.breastcancer.org/symptoms..._bc/statistics

"From 1999 to 2005, breast cancer incidence rates in the U.S. decreased by about 2% per year. The decrease was seen only in women aged 50 and older. One theory is that this decrease was partially due to the reduced use of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) by women after the results of a large study called the Womens Health Initiative were published in 2002. These results suggested a connection between HRT and increased breast cancer risk."
in other words, none of their efforts have done any good in lowering the incidence rate of breast cancer.
