Gallery / trade script info please.

I am trying to learn a little about creating adult websites of a particular variety. Here is an example:

It seems the main page is constantly updating, which most likely means there is some automation. Any idea what script is being used here or if it is custom?

If custom, what are some options for to create something similar. (BTW< I am not interested in building on top of WP.)
