mac gurus : Help!

I have hundreds of files with unique file names in hundreds of directories, and I want to move all of the files to the parent directory. (also known as flattening)

There is a simple way to do this via the command line in Mac OS/X but I can't remember how its done.

Any help is appreciated!

mv */* .
