wordpress search filter

is there a simple plugin that does common search filtering with checkboxes? Results don't have to be dynamic.
For example a car. Checkboxes: mileage, brand, color. (where mileage are checkboxes with ranges, ie 50,000 - 100,000 / 100,000 - 150,000 etc.)
I read you can make tags of the values for the checkboxes.
Was looking for a plugin yesterday, all i got were support threads with walls of text Paul Markham would be jealous of.

Have you tried codecanyon.net? Don't know if they have what you are looking for but if anyone is going to have it, that is probably the place.

hm checked it, will look for it.
Weird that there isn't a simple plugin at wordpress.org. It's a widely used filtering method on millions of sites.

great links as usual, thanks. I also gave it some more thought of what I want to do and a drop down selection is more logical instead of checkboxes, fearlessflyer link looks like what I want.
