Bandwidth capping scripts for members area?

I'm looking 4 a script to limit the amount of bandwidth used by trial members inside my members area. Last week a few fuckers went in there and were downing alot of shit. I know NastyDollars have a script that limits the amout of gigs dl by their members. Anyone know where I can get something like that?!

Actually mod throttle is not what he wants unless he wants to cap his members area as a whole and not on a user basis.

There might be a couple of ways to go about this but it would most likely involve a revamp of your members area as there is no plugin play possibility for it really.

You want to go through mod_rewrite and count the bytes,
then cut them off at X bytes. It's not that hard to do once
you understand the rewrite rules and the standard BSD DB
database.

...or if you're lazy, signup with something like Pennywize.


As mentioned before though, if you're on a virtual, you're in
for an uphill battle. It can be done with a CGI, but it's going
to no fun implementing.

mod_throttle's ThrottleRemoteUser function can cap on a user basis.

I think Nastydollars caps it at 500Mb, but not sure about that
