WP Ping Optimization Help

Hello. I'm building another blog network but for WP past 3.1 that I can tell, the WP Ping Optimizer 2.3 plugin does not work and gives an error message: "Plugin NOT upgraded properly. Please reactivate the plugin." and it's a known error and no fix so far.

So. Does anyone know of a plugin that works or a way to manually disable pinging when editing posts and only ping when scheduled posts are posted and not when they're created?

I just deleted that plugin (Which might have been the same plugin, just version 2.3 instead of 2.3.3 which is the latest version) and downloaded Cbnet's Ping Optimizer and get the same message "Plugin NOT upgraded properly. Please reactivate the plugin."

Has anyone else seen this before? I tried manual and 'add new plugin' install with same thing.

I just found out that my problem is multisite specific. Let's see if it can be fixed..

I fixed it..

It created a Mysql database using a different undefined table after setting up multisite so I had to create a new table.
