I just got the email last month threatening to drop my account if I don't make a sale in 45 days. As I stated earlier, I already pulled my links. Last week I made a sale (not my only one) from a residual link I can't control. I'm going to fire off an email to Evan asking for payment and account closure on both my Ashley Madison and Cougar life accounts.

On Cougarlife you can't even see prior sales after 21 days. That's bullshit.

For the amount of money I made them in the past I hope they honer my request but I seriously doubt it.....

That minimum bullshit, $100 - $200 or whatever is EXACTLY why I prefer to promote sites with CCBILL and not NATS (or other individually handled payments).
People get on me about that...but reading through this thread...makes me validated.
That's just bullshit to have a high payout like that, especially when people have random affiliate links just to try and make extra sales...and it's even MORE bullshit, that they'd cancel you as an affiliate when you "don't send sales within 45 more days".

I wasn't even expecting the sale. Hell, I don't even know what made me log in and check the account today. But Evan and I still talk from time to time by phone so I figured maybe I can sweet talk him out of my remaining balance

I was in with them when they were still doing recurring payments. Over a period of time they've been slowly taking stuff away from their affiliates. Definitely time to close that chapter....

I think they have me at 70% which pays me $34.40 per regular sale. I was up to 80% and I've made a few of their $200 sales. I think they start people out at 55%. If you're making a little of money with them, stop sending traffic. They'll email you and work out a higher rate.
