There are obvious differences between humans, but racism is "The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others".

Everything you mentioned is nothing more than an evolutionary adaption to their particular climate. Nobody is superior and nobody is inferior because one evolved in a desert climate and the other in a "northern" environment.

And what exactly are you going to base your racial classification system on? Dentition? Genetics? Skin pigment? Its not as simple as you make it out to be. Its not hard to classify humans, thats all anthropology is.

no it wasn't a silly post. it didn't include enough information but the point is that different races possess physical and probably mental traits that as Labret says result from evolutionary adaption based on climate and other conditions.

there are generalized physical characteristics Jews possess, based on what part of the globe their ancestors were from.
same for blacks and other races.

Stereotypes always have some truth to them, they are based on these generalized physical and social characteristics. To use a stereotype against somebody, to discriminate against them, that is silly.

race makes a difference only in sports. that's about it. you can assume that blacks can run faster, whites can swim faster etc.. but that has nothing to do with racism.

now cultures make huge differences in people's ethics and characters. and people sharing the same culture tend to belong to the same race. racism only emerged because of this relationship.

He said he had data that could prove that on average asians were smartest, followed by caucasian, followed by blacks. Also did other research on things like penis size that also went in line with common stereotypes.

This caused such a stir they called a debate at a local university, he presented his data, and everyone else just basically called him names and booed him off the stage. They had David Suzuki up there to try to prove him wrong, but he didn't have much to say. It was a pretty sad affair, anyone that lives in Ontario will probably remember it being on the news years ago.

For every theory, there will be researchers to back them up.
The last one I heard is homosexuallity is cureable...

When someone claim something like that, the person need to be confronted/debate with other top researchers that desagree and then we can have something worth our attention.

I agree, that's why I said it was a sad affair. Pretty hard to have a serious debate when there's university kids in the audience holding up derogatory signs and yelling "Go home, racist!".

Don't feel bad. The greatest schools in the world used to tell their pupils that the Earth was flat and had been created by an omnipotent, invisible guy who just happened to love Jews (although he apparently changed his mind around the first century, and decided to love everybody else instead).

You make one large wrong assumption. That being that "living in the dirt" is worse than being an SUV driving yuppy. To argue that the ultimate goal of homo sapiens is "civilization" is absurd.
