+1 on that, I use it for mainstream. Several of my clients (mainstream) use it. You are safe with mailchimp.

I've been using it for mainstream for a good while, and love it.

Note that Mailchimp does not allow affiliate/sales marketing, but it's possible to get around that by being creative.
