is there a plugin that puts banners betwen each post.

idealy auto rotates so a different banner shows each time.

If I recall correctly the ads are actually inserted within different positions of the posts, not between posts. I could be mistaken though.

I manually inserted my placements within the wp loop, adsense earnings have definitely increased for those sites.

Oh yeah, true. It's either top, bottom, or random inside the posts I think.

Then just look in your themes homepage for <?php endwhile; ?> then paste this before it:
<?php if(!$show_ads){ ?>
Insert Ad1 Code Here
<?php $show_ads = 1; } ?>
<?php if(!$show_ads){ ?>
Insert Ad2 Code Here
<?php $show_ads = 2; } ?>
etc.

That's a barbaric way of doing it, but it works..
