    Recommend a camera

Anybody want to recommend a camera to buy?

So far my new Sony, somehow got water in it and there went $400.

So I just paid $450 for a Cannon Rebel T3. Figured, might as well spend a little more and get an SLR since I'll be doing a lot of closeup shots.
Charged the battery, took 2 shots, got an error message to "turn off, remove and reinstall battery." Did that now it's dead, despite battery having a full charge.

I just want a camera that fucking works. Want something in the $400-600 range.

First of all you have big amount of money..........to buy a camera you have to set up your purpose.........Brand always is not everything.....if you want to just focus and shoot then a good digital camera is to serve your purpose....hence pixcels is not everything....mainlly depends on your photo frame...as 4000*2800 frame camera is good than a 18mp camera....is frame is big, pixcels are increased.....zoom is a considerable matter.....high the zoom quality higher the price..........

now about the DSLR camera....DSLR is Digital Single Lens Reflect Camera....if you are trained to control the focus manually,i want to remember you,it is tough job,SLRs take better pic than any digital one.....usually a SLAR has a frame size above 4000 and zoom depending on removable lens........
.....your amount is enough to buy any one them.....DSLR would cost above atleast 100USD more than a digital camera.....goo luck.....

I need a camera that does great closeups as my GF has a lot of art & small collectibles she wants to sell. I wanted a zoom, as we get a lot of wildlife in the yard. 'Point and shoots' just don't get the job done.

But so far I've had 2 cameras crap out on me. You'd think Sony & Cannon would make good products.
I swore off Epson printers as the ink was always running out and wouldn't print a simple black ink letter because another color was out. So I bought an HP that lasted 2 months before the scanner started acting up.

New neighbor down the street has a 1966 Chevy Impala. I'm thinking of making an offer on the car. I had one, damn few problems. Fucking Lexus always has some expensive problem. $400 just to change the valve cover gasket. I was going to do it until I saw you have to replace 20+ parts. $400 now seems cheap to do all that.

NFM has it for $850, but hopefully they'll price match. Walmart has it for $699. NFM gives me 2 year free financing, so I try to always shop there. Surprised they are higher. I buy my Macs there as they're cheaper than the Apple Store.

Check Costco or Bjs. They have great prices on Nikon and Canon kits.
